Excellent!!! But still woefully anemic. The good part is that they're arresting other illegals that they run into while targeting a specific group. What happens to them, who knows? Something tells me many will be released to appear on a future court date and won't show. At least, then, they go on the list for absconders.

More and more municipalities are joining to weed out the worst of the worst illegals. But my question remains, "Why not check EVERY person arrested?" What's radical, racist or extremist about that? The problem is that ICE doesn't release the figures for how many of these gate-crashers get deported. i've read something somewhere that said it wasn't anything near the number of those arrested. Plus there's the problem of letting the lesser offenders go with a court date. Hummm, I wonder how many show up?

Excellent! I've been getting mixed messages from the unions. I don't know this so it's an assumption on my part, but my thinking is unions do better when labor is getting screwed over by business and don't do as well if business is treating their employees well. Hence, less reason to join a union if you don't have any real complaints. I'm hoping the Dems are paying attention to this.

In trying to be honest, I've, now, read a couple of different accounts of the encounter. At last take, there were four or five armed men believed to be border crossers, possibly drug runners scoping the place out, that came fairly close to the NG. The NG got out of there. No shots fired, no NG attacked or harmed. Still, not a good situation.

Folks, I can't even begin to tell you the number of stories I've read about violence along the border. And the candy asses always whine about "Well, we don't want to militarize the border because that would send the wrong message to our good neighbor, Mexico." Folks, Mexico is NOT our friend. And I wouldn't give a cobbler's damn if they get pissed or not. i need to preface this with a disclaimer. It's only one take from one source and the story is way new so give it a couple of days and see what pops up.

Once upon a time I thought that Mr. King might have some degree of integrity but after reading his last take on illegals it's become more than obvious that he doesn't give a damn about the facts and avoids them at every turn. Especially when they destroy his arguments/agenda. At least Mr. King buffered some of his road apple rhetoric rather than resort to the type of blanket deceit and lies that Cynthia Tucker engages in, "In midterm elections earlier this month, American voters showed their profound common sense on the issue of immigration: They refused to reward politicians who had demonized illegal workers, making them the scapegoats for terrorism, crime or the decline of the middle class. Those candidates whose campaigns had been fueled by invective and demagoguery about foreigners went down in defeat."

HERNDON, Va. —  Herndon, Va., police officers could soon get the training needed to help them enforce federal immigration laws.

 

Last year, the mayor and all but one of the six-person Herndon City Council were voted out of office for their support of a taxpayer-funded day laborer site for illegals.

More and more towns and cities around this country are starting to show some spine. I wonder if our candy assed politicians will take the hint.
