I'm so sick of this crap.
Gutless scum
A Roswell police officer was removed from school campuses after turning a pregnant 18-year-old student over to immigration authorities.
Police Chief John Balderston defended the action by Officer Charlie Corn, a 10-year veteran who was working at Roswell High School as a student resource officer.
But he said Roswell Independent School District Superintendent Michael Gottlieb asked for Corn's removal "because he didn't want the officer checking on the immigration status of the students."
Last week, the district and police department made a joint decision to remove all school resource officers, the Roswell Daily Record reported. Translation: The candy-assed thumb-suckers on the school board didn't want the police, in the course of their duties, to take any action against an illegal alien. The police probably told them to go pound sand, the school board didn't make laws for the police to follow, that police are sworn to uphold the laws, not just the ones the school board approves of, and if that wasn't good enough they'd pull all the police from the schools. EXCELLENT. Hope those spineless bastards have a school riot every other week and the police are slow to respond. Assholes.
The incident began after senior Karina Acosta was cited Nov. 29 for a parking violation and driving without a license. Balderston said she was given several days to produce a license, and when she did not, Corn pulled her from class Dec. 5.
While trying to confirm her identity, Corn learned she was an illegal immigrant, Balderston said. Corn detained her at the school before notifying federal immigration agents, the chief said.
Balderston said Acosta, who is five months pregnant, was deported to Mexico. Excellent. One less anchor baby if she doesn't sneak back in, which is likely.
"In the course of an investigation, if we determine that someone is not here legally, we will contact INS and tell them what their status is," he said.
David Urias, a San Antonio, Texas, attorney for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, said the organization was looking into whether the police acted properly.
Assistant Superintendent Mike Kakuska told about 50 parents at a Dec. 7 meeting that Corn had been removed as a resource officer. Kakuska also said the school district protested Acosta's arrest to immigration officials and the Mexican Consulate. A United States school district protested the legal arrest of an illegal alien to US immigration and a foreign power? Are you shittin' me?
"We are very, very concerned as a public school as to what happened the other day," he said. "The police officer, without our knowledge, had this young lady brought into his office here at school and the detain orders were issued through him, not the Roswell schools."
School board member George Peterson said Wednesday that by policy, school officials do not try to determine students' residency status.
"The police officer who did that, he did not have our permission," Peterson said. The police officer didn't need anybody's permission to enforce the law. Who the hell does this piece of puke think he is?
Balderston said Corn's actions were appropriate because he determined the student's legal status in the course of processing a citation. It's standard procedure for Roswell officers to contact immigration authorities if they suspect someone is an undocumented immigrant, he said. Excellent. One good American that makes no apologies to the slack-jawed appeasers.
