As I recall, Colorado passed some good anti-illegal laws that sought to cut them off from some government freebies. and I seem to recall some illegals moving because they couldn't get cheap housing or such. Never tough enough for me but any step at taking up the "Welcome" mat is always a good thing.

This is beyond stupid. They have almost identical policies of appeasement and advocate another amnesty. About the only difference is McCain talks about border security first. Never going to happen. It's all a scam. The only reason this even came up is they're pandering for "The Hispanic vote" but Hispanics don't vote in lockstep.

I posted about his scum wife the other day. These people are less than human. As much as I oppose illegal immigration, those that rip them off and treat them like meat deserve a ticket to hell. I DO NOT support any illegal being cheated and/or abused. I do support them getting deported as quickly and nicely as possible, the gate-crashing jerks.

An illegal Mexican immigrant will be deported after he serves an 18-year sentence for raping a 12-year-old girl, according to a state prosecutor.
Martin Santos, 26, has been jailed since his arrest in July 2006, when the girl went to a clinic and a blood test revealed she was three months pregnant.
This is a good thing, they also nabbed some illegal aliens alleged to be gang members. Sadly, thye only got about 32 out of 70 that they have warrants for. I can't help but to think the timing has a political side to it, considering the Jamiel Shaw case, but who knows?

Federal immigration agents have detained at least 170 workers at an east Houston plant as they conduct a major raid to investigate allegations that the company is employing illegal immigrants.
The raid, involving 150 to 200 agents, was launched about 7 a.m. at Action Rags U.S.A, 1225 Port Houston, just north of the Houston Ship Channel.
Dozens of family members gathered on the street outside the plant entrance at Port Houston near Tilgham. Many of them rushed to the facility after employees called them on their cell phones during the raid.
Bernardo Olvera came to ask about his sister, Juana Maria Olvera, who he said was working in the plant and is in this country illegally.
"She doesn't have any papers to work there," Olvera said. "I'd like to talk to her to see if she could give me the keys to her husband's car. Yeah, that's right. Screw her, gimme the keys. Humm, maybe ICE needs to pay the husband a little visit.
"This is bad, what they do," he said. "But what can you do? The people here are just working. They're not doing anything wrong. These women are hard workers; they're not criminals." Standard BS excuse.
Another relative of a worker said most of the plant's employees are women.
Get a pair, you candy-ass. Heaven forbid that the police actually enforce the laws, it might upset somebody. We know there were some heated protests for and against at some other location, earlier. I hope Arpaio's people avoid giving the protesters a central point to congregate.

I'm happy a hell about this. Cannon was a talk out of both sides of his mouth, pro-illegal, dirtbag. His challenger was an anti-illegal hard ass named "Jason Chaffetz" who was a former kicker for BYU. Well, he just kicked Cannon's ass out of office and is facing a weak-kneed democrat for Congress in the general election. Chaffetz is expected to win.

Ok, this makes makes perfect sense. If you force a 14 year old-girl to be a whore and bang 25 guys a day, you get 7 years. Deal pounds of coke and get 10 years. So, obviously, it's better to force some underaged girl into prostitution.

The bottom line is these pieces of anti-American, anti-law enforcement, pro-illegal, pro-cheap labor slime don't want to see any enforcement and are trying to deflect the issue into one of those, "Why don't you go after the "real" offenders, those that cheat illegals?" What, ICE can't do both at the same time? Because chances are that when ICE goes into a place with a large number of illegal workers those workers aren't being treated in the best possible way, nor the legal workers.

I read one take that said identity theft was a huge problem in Texas and directly tied into illegal aliens. This is a January article but gives some perspective of the total nightmare that can happen to an innocent American when an illegal snags his ID. Illegals are trying to avoid detection and by using a legitimate ID of someone else it makes it easier for them to escape popping up on the radar.

What's up with this? As we know, many illegals like to hang out around building supply stores and other places looking for work. They are usually a big nuisance. Some communitites decided to grab ankle and build a center for these people where employers could find them and get them off the streets. Out of sight, out of mind. In this story, for some unknown reason, the laborers are hanging out on the corners, anyway.

Excellent. Now, put the employers in jail and fine the living hell out of them. Slgithly mentioned was the fact that some of these employees were tied in to "employment agengies" that were busted a few months back in Atlanta. They are ALLEGED to have supplied illegals to restaurants around the country. Makes me wonder if this bust is tied into that investigation?

One of the aspects of the many problems with illegal immigration that sets me off are those that are convicted criminals but get released back on the streets rather than being deported. There is NO excuse. I know some countries don't want their criminals back but too damned bad. I'd take some serious action against a country that refused their own people's repatriation or simply kick them out of a plane with a parachute.

Actually, I agree with this. They really need to give the people more than 3 days to get their information straightened out before firing them. The court mentioned this but didn't set any kind of acceptable time frame. Better solution would be for the company to call ICE and let them handle it. "Dear ICE, We have 50 people whose SSNs don't match. Would you please come and look into that? We'd appreciate it."

Even thought the author of the law, concerning license/tag requirements for cars in Georgia, denied it had anything to do with illegals it sure kicked their butts and I couldn't be happier. In a split decision, the USSC ruled that people that overstay their visas can withdraw their voluntary removal agreement and try to adjust their status, and not be deported while their cases are pending. In short, this is an open invitiation for abusing our system to every illegal alien that overstayed their visa. All they have to do is keep filing motions and appeals and then they get to stay for as long as their cases aren't finally adjudicated.
